Glazes

TH-1 is a rutile based texturizer. Is used on or under Sahara Glazes to produce a yellowish/orange crystal-type texture. Simulates reduction firing surfaces in an electric kiln. Shown on HF-21.

Arroya glazes produce a unique carved effect when fired over gloss or matte unfired glazes. The heavier the application, the larger the break-up effect and the more matte the finish. Recommended firing temperature for Arroya glazes is cone 05. These glazes must be applied to cone 04 bisque. Non-toxic but not suitable for dinnerware.

These colors have a gloss finish, although a clear glaze will smooth and brighten the colors. Apply one even coat on cone 04 bisque, then fire to cone 06. Dinnerware safe when covered by any dinnerware safe clear glaze. Non-Toxic.
