Glazes

CHRISTMAS FOIL. Cone 05. Multi-colored tin foil purples, golds, and greens. Add approximately 3/4 pint of water per pound of glaze for a medium thickness. Mix well and screen. Borax remaining in the screen should be returned to the glaze slurry. Price breaks per lb. are available at 5, 10, 50, and 100 lb. amounts in checkout.

LITHIUM SLIP. Cone 08. Very nice lichen-moss surface with colors of black, rust, and green in light reduction to yellow in oxidation. Dependent on application thickness for variations in color. Click on image to view entire glaze line. For application by dipping or pouring, thorough stirring of the glaze is necessary since the crystals settle to the bottom of the jar. A more controlled decorative effect can be obtained by brushing. Dip the brush in the glaze at the top of the jar and apply two or more coats. Lift the crystals from the bottom of the jar with the brush and place where desired. Crystals fan out on flat horizontal surfaces and run on vertical pieces. These glazes are opaque. These glazes are great when used in contrasting colors, next to, or on top of each other. Also great on Sahara Glazes.
