Mayco Cone 06 Glazes & Underglazes

A basic color palette developed for contemporary ceramic studios. Foundation glazes lay down smoothly, won't pick up previous coats, and show almost no brush strokes - making base coating an easy process. As a base they provide an excellent "foundation" for decorative brush work using Stroke & Coat glazes. Shake well. For opaque coverage, apply 2-3 coats to cone 04 bisque. 1-2 ounces gives opaque coverage to a dinner plate. Do not spray apply without proper personal protective equipment. Soft fan brush is recommended for application. Food safe.

Shake jar well and stir before each application to keep crystals evenly distributed. Using a fan brush, apply 3 coats to cone 04 bisque, allowing to dry between coats. Avoid placing crystals on the bottom of the piece. Fire to cone 06. Do not spray apply without proper personal protective equipment. Food safe. May not be suitable for dinnerware due to surface characteristics. Non-toxic.
