If you love layers, coat your pieces with Cover-Coat Opaque Underglazes! Applied directly to greenware, soft-fired bisque or bisque, these underglazes provide solid coverage over even the darkest colors, and are perfect for airbrushing and brushwork. Cover-Coats fire to an opaque, porous matte finish and are safe for food when a Duncan food-safe clear glaze is applied over them. For custom colors, tint them with other Cover-Coat Underglazes or E-Z Stroke Translucent Underglazes. Mix well. Apply 3 coats to greenware or cone 04 bisque for opaque coverage. Fire greenware to cone 04. Apply and fire clear glaze per label. Water clean up.

Use them to add character to your pieces; these specially formulated glazes create cracks similar to crazing when fired, resulting in a distinctive aged, antique look. For extra depth, highlight the cracks created in the firing by antiquing the piece with ink or acrylic paint. Mix well. Apply 2 coats to cone 04 bisque. Glaze fire to cone 06. Water clean up. Non-Toxic. Not a waterproof surface.
